Nurse-led Minor Illness

Removal of Sutures

Suture removal should generally take place after 7 to 10 days. Please inform the receptionist of the number of sutures to be removed and the site so the correct appointment time can be allocated

Dressings

A double appointment should be made with the treatment room nurse.

Blood Pressure Checks

Continued high blood pressure can lead to strokes, kidney disease, heart attack, heart failure and vision problems if left untreated. You should have your blood pressure checked at least every three years to ensure it is within healthy limits. If you are due a blood pressure check please make a single appointment.

Injections

Before making an appointment for injections please inform the receptionist which injection you require as travel vaccines, childhood immunisations and the contraceptive injection are not available with the treatment room nurse.
